The Colts produced their best performance of the season against a physically superior Ilchester team on Saturday.
The boys showed great composure after going 1-0 down in the first quarter - the first time this season they have been behind. Despite the setback, the visitors had the lion's share of possession and Corbyn looked as assured as ever between the sticks.
Jaden, who stepped into a defensive midfield role to replace Caleb, oozed composure in a man of the match performance as he, JoJo and Zak consistently won the ball and started several breakaways. It was on one such counter attack that Ben worked the ball to Shea, who finished well to level the scores.
Wells dominated from then on and used every inch of the pitch as Shea and Ben combined twice more to send the boys into a 3-1 lead.
Up front, Harry showed lots of good control and his poacher's instincts shone through when he bagged a well-deserved fourth for the team.
The most pleasing aspect was the calmness the boys showed to look up and make excellent decisions which could easily have led to further goals.
Goals: Ben (2), Shea, Harry
Man of the match: Jaden - after taking last season off, Jaden has come back to us a much improved player
