Wells City 2-0 Keynsham
After the disappointment of midweek Wells were hoping for a better performance against Keynsham, after some confusion before the start of the game Wells came out strong and were 2-0 up within 12 mins, A through ball from Ross McErlain found Ryan Pledger who slipped the ball past the keeper on 5 mins, Wells extended their lead in the 12th min when a Harry Lewis clearance bounced over the defence for Jamie Howson to run on to and slot home 2-0 Wells, the home side had another chance to pull away from the visitors but for a great save denying Howson his second, Ben Dancey was then called in to action when a rare break from the visitors saved well with his legs to keep his clean sheet at half time.
Ater the break Wells continued to attack but were unable to extend their lead with good work from McErlain and Steve Sokol, Wells had to chances from corners to finish off Keynsham but good defending kept Wells out, but it was Wells who were dominating the game and Dancey in the Wells goal was a spectator for most of the second half.
Manager Sam Andrews said after the game this was a better performance from us with changes in personel, the defence was strong with Lewis, Dempster King, Dan Williams and James Russell protecting Dancey in goal,McErlain and Sokol in the middle of midfield and Oli Bryant and Tom Hurley out wide working hard and with Howson and Pledger none stop running up front, things are looking brighter.
