Jekyll and Hyde performance by Wells

Wells City FC 0 - 2 Bradford Town
Wells after two good performances were brought back down to earth by a strong physical Bradford side, Wells needed to start strong against what they new was going to be a good side but could not find their "A" game as in previous games, Bradford started strong attacking at will but last ditch tackles from Mark Randall and Ben Higgins kept the scores level, but a shot come cross from the left wing hit the Wells post and rebounded back across goal for the striker to tap home to open the scoring 1-0 Bradford, Mark Randall then put some great crosses in to the Bradford box but they were well delt with by the defence, Mike Roper needed treatment just before the break with a cut above his eye after being hit by a stray elbow, Wells cotinued to play passing football but were giving the ball away to cheaply, Wells were happy to hear the half time whistle go and regroup during the break.
Wells again started slow after the break giving the opposition to much time on the ball this resulted in them doubling the score with a sliced clearence being headed in by the Bradford striker for 2-0, Wells then came close when Kieron White laid the ball to Tom Manning whose shot went over the bar, Wells then made two substitutions with Jamie Howson and Billy Manning being replaced by Ryan Crowther and Francis Rolli, Wells had a few half chances with Francis Rolli coming close with 2 efforts and Steve Sokol putting an effort wide, Tom Manning then saw red after 2 yellow cards, Wells were forced to reshuffle with Craig Rimmer replacing Harry Lewis, Wells battled to the end with another chance for Francis Rolli but hit the shot wide, a Mark Randall corner was met by Charlie Crook whose header went wide this brought the game to an end with Wells losing 2-0.
Steve Vowles said after the game they were to strong for us today, very physical but not dirty, played the ball around well and made us pay for our mistakes, this is what you get in the western league we just need to step up and man up in certain situations which today we didnt, the two previous games we came out fighting from the start but the shoe was on the other foot today and they started quicker than us and never let the pace drop, a very disappointing preformance but Bradford will be up their at the end of the season.
