FA cup dream ends

Wells City 1-2 Brislington
Wells entertained Premier side Brislington in the first qualifying round of the FA cup on Saturday infront of 109 supporters, but were unable to keep the dream going as they were beaten 2-1 by a well organised Brislington team, Wells started slow and were thankfull to keeper Ben Dancey in keeping the scores level with 3 outstanding saves in the first half on his first start of the season, Wells were limited to a handfull of half chances in the first half as Brislington attacked at will causing Wells problems down both flanks but only miss shots and good saves keeping the scores level at half time.
Wells after a stiff talking to at the break came out slightly quicker and Mark Randall came close to opening the scoring when his freekick was well saved by the visiting keeper, Brislington then broke and a great pass out to the left wing the forward cut in a beat Dancey with a great shot to score 1-0 Brislington, Wells then let a high ball bounce through to the striker to score Brislington's 2nd, Wells then had a great chance when Harry Lewis' cross was well struck on the volly by Billy Manning and only a great save kept the score at 2-0, on 63 mins great play down the right by Gavin Eyre and Harry Lewis produced an oppening for Billy Manning who passed to Jason Loxton and his 25 yard shot hit the back of the net giving the visiting keeper no chance 2-1 Brislington, Wells then made some changes with Ryan Crowther,Francis Rolli and Craig Rimmer replacing Gavin Eyre, Mark Randall and new signing Liam Orchard, Wells continued to attack the Brislington goal but were unable to get the equalizer, the visitors holding on for the victory 2-1.
