A depleted Wells squad put in a very good performance against Winterbourne and were unlucky to come away with nothing. Winterbourne took a 1-0 lead into the break in a first half dominated by Wells but one break away punished city.

Second half was much of the same and Morgan equalised after linking up well with McGrane. Winterbourne re-took the lead with a Wonder strike from outside the area that looped over Crabby into the far top corner.
