As soon as the kids broke up for the summer, Soccer School coaches converged on St Cuthbert's School to start work on repairing the barren goalmouths.

All four goals had inevitably developed large patches of dirt after a long season of football involving three age groups and the school itself.

The patches have now been re-seeded, and we've got six weeks before the kids come back for the grass to establish itself.

And unlike the rest of the country, we're praying for rain!
