Following last night’s game in the Somerset Floodlight Youth League I wanted to drop a quick email to you following conversations held this morning in regards to Wells City last night.

Your players and backroom staff were a real credit to your football club and according to our bar staff on duty they were polite, respectful and conducted themselves superbly and put many adult teams (including some Southern Premier club) we have faced to shame.

Football gets a bad press all the time, especially youngster, and your lads should be congratulated on the way they represented Wells City last night and also your Club as well who obviously ensure things are done in the right way.

Ken – although the Western League aren’t responsible for the administration of this league I thought you should know of this as the club itself are members of the Western League.

We wish you all the best for the future.

Hi Ian and really good to hear. We have so many clubs and management not following the Respect campaign or respecting hosts I am proud to have Wells City and Tony Crook as part of our League.

Tony - Just to add my congratulations to the thoughts expressed by Richard; it is always good (if rare) to hear of the good things in the game although I think they far outnumber the bad they just get less coverage.
