Wells City 1-1 Welton Rovers
A Ryan Crowther strike midway through the second half earned Wells a draw against Welton but will look as two points lost rather than a point gained, the game started brightly with Wells creating the first chance from a short corner Mark Randall passed to Francis Rolli who hit a dangerous cross to the edge of the six yard box to Lee Begg but a last-ditch challenge from the defender denied Begg a goal scoring chance,Welton responded but only a good save from Ben Dancey and a near miss kept the score level, Welton did open the scoring on 27 mins when they caught Wells napping and from a corner the striker tapped in from close range 0-1 Welton, Welton could have increased their lead after a cross field pass was intersepted and Dancey was made to make another save with his legs, he then made another great save from a well taken freekick to keep Wells in the game.
The second half started as the first half finished with Welton attacking and only poor finishing kept the game close, the game changed with the introduction of Ryan Crowther who ran at the Welton defence and wasnt long before Wells equalised when a powerful header from Begg went to Jamie Howson who set up Crowther to hit a left footed shot into the bottom corner on 70 mins 1-1, Wells continued to press for the winner but ran out of time.
