Poor effort from Wells

Wells were hoping to continue their fine form after 3 points mid week but with more forced changes and manager Sam Andrews having to start in midfield Wells were totally out played by Roman Glass, the home side had the first chance with a cross from the right which was headed goal wards but was well saved by Alex Henderson, Wells couldn't get going but good work from James Russell and Jamie Howson set up Andrews whose shot went just over the bar, but a defensive mistake let in the winger whose cross was side footed in to the top corner 1-0 Roman, Dan Williams came close with a couple of long range efforts but the half finished 1-0.
After a stern talking to at half time by Julian Coppell, Wells came out with a little more fight but went 2-0 down with good work down the left and a great cutback was slotted home, Wells then made a change with the injured Howson being replaced by Ryan Pledger on 59 mins and then Jake Greenhalgh replaced Dan Catley on 69 mins things got worse for Wells when Pledger saw red on 70 mins for kicking out at a defender, Wells then crumbled and gave away 2 penalties which were converted for 4-0 and a disappointing result for Wells.
