Beaten at home by well organised Cribbs

Wells manager Sam Andrews was forced to make 6 changes from the mid week draw against Hengrove with injuries and unavailability, Wells started the game slowly against a well organised Cribbs side who are unbeaten so far this season, Oli Bryant worked hard down the right gaining a corner which was well cleared by the visitors, Wells had the first real chance when James Russell crossed to Ross McErlain whose volley went wide, Cribbs looked very strong on the break and almost took the lead but their shot hit the bar, the visitors did take the lead when the referee gave a penalty for a push which only he saw 1-0 Cribbs, from the kick off Wells gave the ball away and allowed Cribbs to extend their lead right on the half time whistle 2-0.
Wells had to push forward being 2-0 down and Charlie Crook almost headed home but his effort went just over the bar, the visitors then made it 3-0 with a well worked goal playing one touch football creating an opening for the striker to slide the ball under the advancing Mike Roper in the Wells goal, Wells finished the game well and a Dan Williams penalty on 78 mins this made for an exciting finish, McErlain then made the visiting keeper save well from a well taken free kick but Wells could not find the back of the net the game finished 3-1 to Cribbs.
Manager Sam Andrews was not happy with the way his side started but was pleased with the way they finished the game, Cribbs are a very good team and are going to challenge for the title, with the changes i had to make i was more than happy with the players that came into the squad, other good news Mark Randall's injury was not as bad as first thought and will be out for only a couple of weeks.
