Unlucky result away from home

Corsham town 1-0 Wells City
Wells started well in their first away game of the season and could have scored after only 5 mins when the hard working Steve Sokol gained a corner out of nothing, from the Mark Randall corner Harry Penfold was well placed at the back post but his effort went over the bar. Corsham then got into the game playing some good one touch football, but it was Wells who had the next chance with a long range shot from Tom Manning which went just over the bar,Wells continued to attack with Randall and Oli Bryant using the flanks well, Alex Henderson was again on top form in the Wells goal making a great save touching the ball onto the post and Dariuz Davey on hand to block a follow up shot to bring the first half to an end at 0-0.
Corsham started the second half well causing the Wells defence problems, the home defence limited Wells to long efforts,Wells made the first change with Fabio Ramos replacing Dan Catley up front, Corsham then took the lead when a corner was defended well but fell to the home number 11 whose shot nestled in the bottom corner for 1-0, Wells almost levelled the score when a cross from Ramos was hit on the volly by Jamie Howson but his effort went straight at the keeper, Ross McErlain then hit a great free kick against the bar, Wells battled to the end but were unable to find the equalizer,the game finished with Corsham holding on to a 1-0 win.
